Sounds that amaze - a musical vision

As a musician, I want to surprise and break down listening expectations: Through old music in new arrangements or concerts in unconventional settings.

‍

I am interested in bringing musical high culture not only to concert halls, but also to places and people that are not directly asscociated with it.  

‍

I value the collaboration with colleagues who pursue their very own ideas and put them into practice.

‍

Unusual ensembles that encourage a broad audience to attend concerts or festivals occupy a large space in my artistic work. My "Duo ViA!" with Harald Oeler (classical accordion) shows how contemporary classical music can sound and is also suitable for open-air events.

Changing lives - with the power of music!

‍

I am convinced that music has the power to heal and unite people. My mission: to create concert experiences that give hope and courage. That enable listeners to step out of the reality of their everyday lives and grow beyond themselves. This idea gave rise to my ongoing project „FOLLOW ME WITH BACH“, in which I play the six solo violin sonatas by Johann Sebastian Bach on one day and - if possible - at different venues.

Classical paths

‍As a soloist and concertmaster, I have performed with orchestras such as the Deutsches Sinfonieorchester Berlin, the Nuremberg Philharmonic and the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra.

‍

In addition to the well-known violin concertos, I also play lesser-known but musically equally outstanding works, for example by Benjamin Britten, Bela Bartok, Carl Nielsen or Ernest Chausson.

Another focus of my work is chamber music. I perform in the oboe quartet "Vario Quartett" with Viola Wilmsen (principal oboist of the Deutsches Sinfonieorchester Berlin) and excellent string colleagues.

‍

I am also interested in the music of the Baroque and early Classical period. An important station on this path was my work as concertmaster of the Bavarian Chamber Orchestra under Reinhard Goebel. In addition, I am intensively involved with newly discovered works by composers who were previously unknown but who are on a par with the great masters.
